This role is pivotal in supporting the administrative functions of the school, ensuring efficiency, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Confidentiality: Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality in handling all matters related to school administration.
- School Administration Experience: Previous experience in school administration will assist in success in role application.
- Organisational Skills: Demonstrate strong organisational, planning, and coordination skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively amidst multiple demands.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
- IT Competency: Sound knowledge of general IT systems and applications, including spreadsheets, databases, intranet, and internet usage.
- Attention to Detail: Display meticulous attention to detail and the ability to multitask efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are essential, with the capacity to communicate effectively at all levels within the school community and external stakeholders.

Specific Duties:
- Provide courteous and efficient customer service, offering office and clerical support to St. Margaret Mary's School.
- Reception Duties: Welcome and provide information to parents and students, maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, answer phone inquiries, and handle mail distribution.
- Event Support: Assist in the preparation of school events, gatherings, and functions.
- Administration Duties: Manage clerical and financial administration, including correspondence, enrollment inquiries, personnel records, and inventory control.
- Information Systems Management: Operate and maintain various information systems such as Operoo, Seesaw, Synergetic, and ICON.
- Finance Duties: Maintain staff attendance records, support salary assessments, facilitate fee collection processes, and prepare financial reports.
- First Aid Team Contribution: Contribute and collaborate as part of the school's First Aid team.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in school administration is preferable.
- Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills.
- Commitment to confidentiality and Catholic education ethos, being Catholic not essential.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and prioritise tasks efficiently.
