As the Principal Adviser Fatigue Risk Management, you will provide specialist Fatigue Risk Management Support (FRMS) and expertise for our Qantas Airways pilots. You will be responsible for providing specialist fatigue analysis, advice and guidance to further develop the FRMS policy, standards and application of day to day business activities. This role will provide strategic and tactical fatigue advice to ensure that Qantas Airways, regulator, and departmental requirements are met. The roles will also provide development support for Project Sunrise and Winton.
You’ll have:
- Previous experience in a flight operations based position
- Tertiary qualifications in human factors, psychology, Fatigue Risk Management, aviation or a related discipline is highly advantageous
- Comprehensive knowledge of the technical and regulatory requirements in the aviation industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the use of bio-mathematical fatigue modelling tools, fatigue data collection processes and analysis, and interpretation of fatigue impairment performance physiological factors.
- Organisational experience in the application of Fatigue Risk rules, principles and initiatives
- Operational experience within a high-risk industry (preferably aviation) as a safety professional.
- Strong customer focus with the ability to build constructive and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong commitment to business improvement and willingness to support change and ‘make things happen’.
