The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Principal Advisor, Industrial and Employee Relations to be part of our People and Culture Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.
The Principal Advisor, Industrial and Employee Relations (IR & ER) is responsible for the provision of high quality industrial and Employee Relations advice and services to PIRSA on a range of highly complex matters, including overseeing disciplinary investigations and processes across PIRSA, and representing the Agency at the South Australian Employment Tribunal.
The Principal Advisor, IR & ER conducts and manages projects and contributes to policy development and implementation in relation to a range of IR & ER matters.
The role leads the IR and ER function within PIRSA and will establish strong and trusted working relationships with leaders and managers to ensure the proactive and pragmatic identification and resolution of complex IR and ER matters across PIRSA.

Special Conditions

  • Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.
  • Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).
  • Full time opportunity 37.5 hours per week
Requirements
  • Out of hours work and inter / intrastate travel may be required.
  • You acknowledge your work, health and safety obligations and our expectations.
  • Possession of a current driver’s licence and a willingness to drive.
  • Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).
  • The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.
Remuneration
ASO8 - $119,317 min - $123,822 max per annum, plus superannuation
