Key responsibilities of this role include leading a functional area of this major project’s development through life cycle phases. You will play a significant role in delivering business value through the development of superior safety, scope, cost, schedule, and quality outcomes.
About The Role
- Apply an understanding of the business context, operating model, and ways of working to enhance decision making, productivity, and value chain performance
- Define project objectives and schedules, identify critical activities, monitor the project plan/schedule and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Apply and evaluate change management methods, data, purpose, value, and direction
- Plan, track and manage the delivery of project planning to generate and drive project value and outcomes
- Support the interface between multiple projects and enable a culture of trust and performance within the team
The Successful Candidate Will Possess
- Significant industry knowledge, ideally from the the mining, manufacturing and/or construction industries
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership position in major construction projects
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in planning of construction projects in execution
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement skills
- Advanced time management and prioritization skills
- Ideally the successful candidate will bring a strong network across a diverse set of project functions
- Strong influencing skills with an ability to interface across the entire project teams
- Task oriented, with a bias to working autonomously
- Major Projects Experience – Experience in major capital projects spanning different phases would be considered an asset
Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role and preference will be given to those with heavy fixed plant, resources and mining experience. Take this opportunity to secure a rare 12 month contract role, with scope to extend, offered on a 5/2 Adelaide based roster.
