About the role
The Principal Consultant Workplace Health and Safety provides specialist advice, consultancy services and support on all matters relating to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), injury management and wellbeing.
This position also supports the Manager People and Culture in the provision of high-level WHS leadership, participating in the delivery of strategic objectives designed to ensure compliance with WHS legislation and standards, leading and mentoring a small team in the identification, assessment and investigation of Health and Safety incidents and hazards.
To be successful in this role you will ideally have experience in implementing the work Health and Safety, worker’s compensation and injury management functions in a large organisational context.
You will also have demonstrated knowledge of related legislation obligations, particularly the Work Health and Safety Act (WA) 2020 and Worker’s Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981, applicable Codes of Practice and Standards and how they impact on employment and service delivery.
