The Role

The Principal Corporate Planning and Performance is responsible for the development and delivery of Council’s Corporate Planning, performance and reporting function, including the key strategies such as the Annual Operational Plan, Departmental Business Planning, Annual Report, Business Continuity Plans, organisational reporting and data/metrics collection and analysis.

In addition to ensuring that the organization receives efficient planning and reporting outcomes in line with legal frameworks, the Principal Corporate Planning and Performance will oversee the Council's strategic planning to ensure that it is transparent, integrated, and results-oriented.

It would be advantageous if you have demonstrated experience in a business development capacity, have community engagement experience, and understand strategic planning and reporting needs in the context of local government.

About You

Ideally you will have tertiary qualifications in business and/or significant experience in a similar role, and project management qualifications and/or demonstrated experience with project delivery. Your skills will include excellent stakeholder influence, and the ability to develop strong working relationships across all levels of the organisation.

Along with having highly developed communication skills, you will also be able to gather and analyze data, create excellent documentation and reports, and interact with a variety of clients. You also possess exceptional time management abilities, the capacity to manage conflicting priorities, and the flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and workloads.

Consisting of coastal and hinterland communities with 30,000 residents across the major townships of Cardwell, Mission Beach, Tully and Innisfail.
