You will work in a collaborative, team-based environment and participate in a range of activities that support and deliver the Structures program of work across all functional areas of the team. To perform the role effectively you will need to demonstrate sound technical leadership and team management ability as well as interface regularly with various colleagues, clients and stakeholders both within TMR and private industry.
You will be seeking to uphold and drive positive change to company and industry technical standards for civil infrastructure.
You will employ high level communication and project / program management skills as well as sound level negotiation and organisational skills on a daily basis. You will draw on your comprehensive structural engineering experience (design, structural assessment and/or construction) to ensure departmental structural assets are managed over their full lifecycle and optimised to deliver value for money robust and compliant infrastructure.
You will participate in and/or lead structural assessment, bridge monitoring, structural design and review within program guidelines including operational risk assessment (for structures). You will develop structure specific asset management and/or strategic asset management plans, including establishing and reviewing service levels, condition assessment and monitoring, and lifecycle management.
Using a wide range of specialist skills and knowledge you will also contribute to the Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP) structural elements through the ability to understand, strategically analyse and deliver on a range of engineering activities.
You may undertake activities such as structural design and review, structural assessment, asset management (including data analytics and programming), construction assurance, supply and governance.

Mandatory Requirements
* A Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or relevant equivalent and registration as an RPEQ
