Job description
Key responsibilities Providing and ensuring the provision of superior level, strategic, independent and professional legal advice and documentation to all levels of the department on property law, commercial law, and/or administrative law matters. Maintaining a superior level of knowledge of contemporary issues impacting on property law and commercial law and their relationship with relevant government policies and initiatives. Assisting in the departments' development and administration of efficient and effective policy and legislative frameworks, by providing legal and risk research and advice. Liaising and negotiating effectively with relevant internal and external stakeholders on matters affecting the operations of the departments. Providing superior level independent advice regarding dispute resolution and the management of litigation relating to property and commercial law, on behalf of the departments and the State.
