Principal Manager ProcurementFinance Division

About us
Legal Aid NSW helps people with their legal problems. We can help people with most areas criminal law, family law and every day civil law legal issues. We give legal advice, help at court and do family dispute resolution. We can do this over the telephone or at one of our 28 offices.
About the role
The Manager Procurement leads and directs the provision of procurement services, including procurement planning, development, sourcing, contract and risk management activities, to achieve value for money and to meet business needs and government directions on procurement.
About you
You will have proven experience and knowledge of procurement within NSW government. You have demonstrated experience with high level of communication skills (verbal and written). You will have the ability to interpret and determine legislative impacts in relation to procurement.
You will possess strong leadership skills and experience, demonstrated experience in management of delegations and processes. You will have the ability to operate with a high level of autonomy and proven ability to provide expert advice and support to all key stakeholders.
We may use this recruitment to create a talent pool for similar ongoing or temporary vacancies we have over the next 18 months.

The essential requirements for this role
You must:
· Minimum of five (5) years procurement experience
· be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before you start work with us
· be willing to do a Criminal Record Check and/or Working with Children Check
· hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency (for ongoing vacancies) or a valid visa to work in Australia (for temporary vacancies)
