About the role Based at our Osborne Park office you will be working on a 5/2 roster reporting to our Mine Planning Manager. You will provide direction and support to the wider business, including site-based and corporate stakeholders, to deliver company objectives through optimised, accurate and repeatable tactical mine plans and designs for our Lithium mines. You will be working with key stakeholders such as; Operations Technical Services, Strategic Mine Planning, Finance, Project Services Geology, Project Services Environment and Approvals, Project Services Heritage and Planning Services. Responsibilities Deliver 5 Year Plans and a 5 year planning process that is benchmarked against industry peers for quality, outlines key business risk and opportunities in this planning horizon and includes routines to push these outcomes through to appropriate action plans and tactical plans to ensure any risks are mitigated and any opportunities can be realised Lead a team of mining engineers with the intent of creating, and maintaining, a culture of high performance, accountability and ongoing professional development Responsible for developing, compiling, and communicating the annual budget and 2 year tactical mine plans, including fleet selection. Review and improve this process on an ongoing basis, benchmarking against best practice amongst peer companies Develop tactical mine designs, including staged pits and dump designs, mine layout and road networks that support the tactical mine plan. Engage with key stakeholders to understand business-wide objectives and constraints to inform assumptions, decisions and limitations when developing tactical mine plans. Oversee the routines that synthesise and process data to develop useable and repeatable assumptions for input into tactical mine plans. Oversee the implementation, and ongoing improvement, of compliance to plan routines within this planning horizon to ensure the value outlined in our plans is realised by the business, our planning processes are continually reviewed for improvement opportunities and our people have the feedback they need to develop their expertise. Present and hand over the tactical and operational mine plans to the strategic planning team, other service providers, and site execution team. Provide ongoing support to ensure these plans are interpreted and followed as intended.
