About the Division
The Infrastructure, Economy and Environment Division leads, shapes and provides advice on key infrastructure, economic and environmental priorities that support the State’s immediate and long-term prosperity. Its areas of focus include supporting existing and new industries; economic growth and job creation; energy security, decarbonisation, and environmental outcomes; and the delivery of infrastructure that meets the diverse needs of the community.
The Infrastructure and the Regions team sits within the Division and provides Government with advice on the development, planning, prioritisation, delivery and evaluation of Western Australia’s strategic infrastructure and regional development initiatives. Priorities include leading implementation of the WA Government’s Resources Community Investment Initiative and developing the State Infrastructure Programme on behalf of the Premier.
There are currently two (2) permanent positions available for immediate filling within the Infrastructure and the Regions team.
- One (1) Principal Policy Officer - (Level 7)
- One (1) Senior Policy Officer - (Level 6)

About the Roles
As a Principal Policy Officer (Level 7) you will provide high level policy support, advice, and undertake complex research and analysis. This role assists with the review, development, coordination and implementation of Government policies from a cross portfolio perspective.
As a Senior Policy Officer (Level 6) you will provide policy support and advice to the Principal Policy Officer and assist with research and analysis in relation to the development, implementation and review of Government priorities from a cross portfolio perspective.
Economic, infrastructure or environmental policy experience is beneficial but is not essential.
