Shaping the future of Transport in WA!
Be part of it.
The Department of Transport is looking for policy, planning and Project professionals to lead the development and delivery of policy, strategy and Projects across the Freight, Ports, Aviation and Reform Directorate (FPAR).
You will be involved in a variety of strategic Policy and/or planning work and associated projects that support the freight, ports and aviation industries and the development of our air, land, and maritime transport sectors in Western Australia. You will work on developing and adjusting government policy, planning and strategy across these sectors to meet the State government’s strategic transport aspirations.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with the transport industry and progress your career within a future ready, dynamic, and customer focused environment. If you like a job that deals with very diverse issues and stakeholders, often across multiple modes of transport, and gives you opportunities to contribute to problem solving complex strategic issues, please consider applying for our roles.
Please note: These roles are focused on strategic Policy and planning and are not operational roles that deal with managing or overseeing day-to-day transport operations.
The Opportunity
We are currently supplementing our existing pool of talented policy, planning and Project professionals for our FPAR team. The roles in our area undertake strategic Policy and/or planning work and associated projects that support the development and delivery of the state’s strategic vision for WA regional aviation, multi-modal freight supply chains and ports.
We are looking for pro-active problem solvers and critical thinkers with good strategic instincts. You will need to be able to cultivate and maintain high level relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate a better understanding, development, and implementation of complex strategic transport policy, planning and program initiatives.
Strong writing skills, the ability to conduct research and data analysis and the ability to present fit-for-purpose information to a variety of audiences are imperative for these roles. In return, we offer you the opportunity to work with a focused and enthusiastic team, supportive leadership, and career development opportunities.
