Job description

Manage and lead the Technology Procurement Contract Management function across Metro North Hospital and Health Service (MNHHS).

About the role

The purpose of this role is to manage and lead the Technology Procurement Contract Management function across Metro North Hospital and Health Service (MNHHS) to provide cost effective, risk managed customer service focussed outcomes in conjunction with the Category Manager, Technology Procurement.  This role will undertake plan and undertake sourcing activities in relation to the contract management lifecycle. The role will be responsible for managing Procurement and contracting activities related to day-to-day operational requirements (such as licences and service and maintenance) as well as maintaining standing offer arrangements and panel arrangements, with a view to maximising efficiencies in both processes and cost for MNHHS and supporting the development of best practice in strategic sourcing, expenditure analysis and supply chain strategies. The role will manage the performance of suppliers to MNHHS in collaboration with the customer as well as ensuring MNHHS stakeholders meet their obligations under established contracts

Role Specific Assessment

  • Demonstrated leadership and proven experience in managing and delivering a high volume of ‘routine' and ‘strategic' procurement activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and implement local procurement opportunities that align with the overall strategic plan of the organisation.
  • Robust understanding of ICT contract management and demonstrated experience in implementing ICT contracts and supplier management strategies and techniques, including the ability to successfully manage strategic contracts and associated contract administration processes involving multiple parties.
  • In depth knowledge of the QITC Framework and ability to use the Framework to ensure optimal procurement outcomes relevant to the requirements and level of risk associated.
  • High-level conceptual and analytical skills to identify and analyse issues and develop quality options and strategies to resolve complex procurement issues and a proven ability to work in a team environment developing effective working relationships with team members.
  • Demonstrated understanding of procurement requirements, particularly in relation to legislative requirements for Government procurement activities including financial implications.
