The role:
Reporting to the Senior ICT Procurement Manager, Delivery Support Services these roles will manage and oversee sourcing strategies and processes, contributing to operational plans and preparation of key performance measures and reporting requirements. It will be the roles responsibility to develop documentation detailing requirements, risk management, marketplace engagement, evaluation of offers and negotiation of contracts.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership, advice and support on procurement strategies, contractual administration and procurement procedures.
- Provide ICT contract and SOA development and management services to the Delivery Services Branch and its customers.
- Ensure the maintenance of a detailed documentary record of procurement processes, decisions and contractual arrangements, ensuring the audit trail is adequately maintained and documented for probity, accountability and audit purposes
- Research and prepare submissions, reports, briefing materials and correspondence and provide expert analysis and advice to agency senior management and key stakeholders
- Contribute to high level of professional practice by maintaining a high-level knowledge of contemporary procurement strategies, policies and practices and an awareness of government priorities and i initiatives that have implications for the procurement function
To be successful in this role, you will be strategically focused and have a thorough understanding of the organisation's objects and alignment with operational activities. You will demonstrate your high level conceptual and analytical skills with the capacity to identify and analyse complex issues and develop quality procurement options and strategies.
Furthermore, you will have the demonstrated ability to provide impartial and forthright advice, establish clear plans and timeframes for project implementation and lead the implementation of procurement sourcing and contract management strategies. Your experience building relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally is essential in delivering high quality procurement outcomes.
Your proven ability to confidently present messages in a clear and concise manner using highly developed written and verbal communications skills including the ability to negotiate persuasively with stakeholders on procurement planning, sourcing and contract management strategies is crucial to your success in this role.
