The Road Safety Policy and Reform Directorate is seeking an experienced and dedicated Principal Project Officer within the Road Safety Information and Analysis team who will thrive in a positive, collaborative and flexible work environment.
The core purpose of the Road Safety Policy and Reform Directorate is to provide policy development and deliver expertise and advice across the Transport Policy and Regulation Division in the Department. The Department has diverse responsibilities for transport systems and services and infrastructure planning and provision within South Australia.
The key areas of focus for the Directorate are Road Safety, motor vehicle registration and driver licensing, heavy vehicles and transport innovation.
In an organisation that celebrates diversity and with collaboration at its core, this challenging role will see you lead and deliver specific Road Safety Data projects and publications, coordinate Road Safety research and facilitate best practice data management and governance arrangements for our Road Safety information and assets.
The successful candidate will demonstrate their ability to communicate effectively across all levels, both verbally and in writing, while negotiating and resolving conflicts with internal and external stakeholders. This includes overseeing the development and publication of an annual suite of Road Safety Data and information resources and communicating complex information and data. The candidate will demonstrate innovation, risk mitigation, and a customer-focused mindset, facilitating Road Safety Data sharing arrangements through application of policies, processes and controls.
Tertiary qualifications within data analytics, information systems, information management or equivalent professional experience are desirable and the following are technical capabilities required for the role:
- Technical expertise in SQL, statistical and trend analysis and Business Intelligence Technologies (e.g., Power BI / Tableau)
Prior to employment with the Department the successful candidate will be required to provide a:
- National Police Check (NPC) which must be renewed every three years.
- Department for Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (WWCC) which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
Tenure of Vacancy
Temporary appointment up to 12 months
Remuneration
ASO7 - $106,512 to $115,137 per annum
