Principal Project Officer

We are seeking an experienced ASO7 Principal Project Officer to join one of our government clients for an immediate start.

The Role

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead, develop, manage, and implement projects to achieve quality outcomes
• Providing high-level strategic leadership, advice to support the development, management and implementation of policies and projects
• Coordinate high quality briefings and reports
• Provide high level of service, consultation and engagement with a wide range of internal and external key stakeholders, including Aboriginal stakeholders, to meet their business needs
• Providing concise, accurate and evidence-informed briefings and submissions
• General policy tasks including research, analysing complex issues and recommending practical solution

Skills and Experience Required

We are seeking applications from candidates who bring:

• Proven experience in developing, leading, and implementing successful programs or policy and projects
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Demonstrated ability to work both as part of a team and independently
• Experience in dealing with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and stakeholders
• Proven ability to identify and deliver strategic and operational outcomes
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders within and outside the public sector
• Initiative and judgement to deliver complex tasks
