ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a 12-month fixed-term position on a Monday-to-Friday basis. It will be based at our head office in Perth. We understand and value the benefits flexibility brings and operate a hybrid work model (in the office and from home)
The Principal Risk, Stewardship, & Compliance will manage and execute end-to-end risk and assurance activities.
- Reporting to Manager, HR Risk Stewardship & Compliance Leadership, other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
- Implementing and supporting an effective Risk and Assurance plan across the HR function to provide principles and overarching methodology for assurance activities in line with South32 Stewardship and Risk Management system of work
- Understanding internal and external organisational risk and stewardship management, internal control, legislative, corporate standard and policy compliance and governance requirements;
- Establishing and communicating common risk management processes, including assessment methodologies, standards and practices;
- Assuring Stewardship health checks to VP HR that risks are identified, reported and managed appropriately across critical processes;
- Overseeing and supporting the completion of ongoing risk management activities and ensuring adequate reporting on instances of non-compliance;
- Supporting the business in the disciplined use of performance measures, organisation design, standards, processes, local operating procedures, systems, payroll and HR data.
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Ability to perform Risk Management and/or Stewardship assessment practices
- Demonstrated SAP ECC and Success Factors experience
- Strong knowledge of global employer and statutory obligations
- Experience in leading process improvement initiatives with strong data analytical skills
- Understanding of HR practices, processes, disciplines and systems
- Well organised with a high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Qualifications for this position are:
- Tertiary level qualification and or work experience in a related discipline
