Currently seeking (4) talented Privacy Officers to join their busy team for a 6-month temporary assignment.About the role:As a Privacy Officer, you will provide operational and administrative support that is informed and directed by sound knowledge in privacy areas and may undertake some research and analysis activities. In addition, key duties include:
- Remediate a range of privacy complaints and incidents in a timely manner
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping
- Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
- Undertake projects on an ad-hoc basis.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with clients and other internal and external stakeholders
- Support the implementation of new systems, processes and practical tools within the Privacy team
- Build capability and expertise within the team, sharing knowledge and awareness across the Agency
- Previous experience in a similar privacy complaints or administration role
- Knowledge of the Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act) Experience coordinating and responding to incidents and complaints in accordance with Privacy obligations.
- Competency, or ability to develop competency, in working with requirements of the Privacy Act.
- Ability to respond to and prioritise competing and often urgent requests
- Competent IT skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- ASAP start pending Federal Government clearance
- 6 months casualtemporary assignment
- Full time hours Monday to Friday
- $43.82 per hour + super
