Form of workThe Process Engineer will support the technical research and testing of new products from the conceptual phase through to the business unit and operational integration. Partnering with internal and external stakeholders you will support the continuous improvement and development of new, sustainable and innovative products, plant equipment, and processes to suit current and future market requirements.

Key role responsibilities include:
- Carry out research, feasibility studies, design and innovation of new product development.
- Foster continuous improvement initiatives of the facility and processes.
- Scoping and planning of innovation projects from delivery through to implementation.
- Liaising with various internal and external stakeholders and business divisions on system management and operation processes.
- Creating and maintaining a product roadmap for all research and development projects.
- Assess the viability of R&D product projects and set targets & KPIs.
- Deliver testing and assist with the implementation of all new products from concept to development ensuring quality manufacturing processes.
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of technical risks for new product and innovation projects.
- Minimum 4 years experience in a process or chemical engineering role.
- Tertiary qualification in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Process Engineering or similar.
- Experience in the cement and lime product production or manufacturing industry (desirable).
- Advanced computer literacy, Advanced MS Excel.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to confidently communicate at all levels.
