About Your Opportunity

You will provide expert Procurement and contract advice and support to the planning and delivery of major waterinfrastructure projects.

You will lead a team of specialist Procurement and contract advisors providing strategic procurement advice and support to the delivery of major water infrastructure projects. You will also lead a program of continuous improvement as it relates to Procurement and contract development and management related to major infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the provision of specialist Procurement and contract advice to facilitate the efficient and effective delivery of major water infrastructure projects.
  • Provide expert professional advice and support to internal stakeholders on Procurement and contract related matters related to project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers, monitoring performance, undertaking compliance reviews, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Oversee the Procurement and contract lifecycle, from drafting and review to execution and renewal, monitoring contract performance and enforce adherence to contractual obligations by all parties involved.
  • Lead the development and implementation of Procurement and contract plans, strategies, frameworks and processes aligned with organisational objectives and budgetary constraints.
  • Develop and manage procurement budgets, track expenditures, and identify opportunities for cost savings.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Essentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, procurement, law or a related discipline
  • Minimum of ten years’ experience in infrastructure Procurement and contract
  • management including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Significant experience in procuring or managing construction contracts with a value greater than $50M.
  • Considerable experience in building, influencing and maintaining strong productive working relationships, both internally and externally with a wide variety of stakeholders.

Desirables

  • Significant experience in procurement or contract management in the Water Industry and/or public sector
  • Experience in post award contract management, contractual claims and dispute resolution.

This position has a salary starting at $132,491 to $142,924 dependant on experience plus 12.75% superannuation and is a 2 year fixed term contract.
