Your new role
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Regional Category Team to develop, plan and execute regional sourcing strategies across ANZ.
- Procurement of selected Raw Materials and Indirect Services required by the Business on time, cost efficiently and meeting the Business needs.
- Build and own key Strategic Supplier relationships within ANZ.
- Track and analyse performance within each spend category and define budgetary impact on technology and/or country P&L.
- Lead local vendor selection and negotiation process for all ANZ regional vendors.
- Recruits and maintains suppliers who will provide high quality products and services at a better price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.
- Negotiate contracts and maintain day to day relationships with suppliers, including establishing supplier performance measures, conducting regular reviews focused on achieving service performance and deal delivery.
- Provide local market intelligence including documented sourcing analyses, supply scenario comparisons and supplier research.
- Analyze spend patterns across the region and provide constructive challenge to stakeholders on their spending decisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally in the region to implement category-sourcing initiatives.
- Perform end-to-end activities relevant to procurement for the ANZ Region in close collaboration with the Regional Team:
- Negotiates requests for services with vendors.
- Ensures categories are contracted in line with the sourcing strategy.
- Prepares and issues purchase contracts and change notices.
- Prepares and reviews contracts, bids, proposals and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price and acceptability of items to specifications.
- Develops and utilizes a system to evaluate vendor quotations with the appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery and service.
- Directly solves operational issues with vendors. Reviews and resolves vendor claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
- Capture real savings in the region
What you will need to be successful
Experience required/desirable
- MUST HAVE prior experience in Procurement, in a relevant setting/categories with an overall strong experience within a manufacturing / supply chain functions
- Demonstrated experience in providing effective leadership and direction in relation to strategic procurement practices and issues
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, negotiation and consultation skills, in communicating with staff, management and executives
- Demonstrated ability to consult and interact with external organizations
- Demonstrated experience in undertaking multiple procurement activities from start to finish
- Must be open to undertaking security vetting if eligible for the role
