Our client is seeking to engage a Procurement Category Specialist on a contract for 12 months with potential permanency.

Procurement and Contract Variation experience is a MUSTPosition Overview The Procurement Specialist is responsible for conducting data analysis, expediting, agreed sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract implementation and management activities, and validating benefits claims in accordance with approved category plans and the overarching portfolio plan for Inspections and Turnaround projects. Duties and Responsibilities:Lead tactical procurement initiatives to deliver value to the business
Solicit quotations or tenders
Conduct evaluation processes to determine optimal supply sources
Draft, negotiate and implement contractual agreements
Conduct analysis of spend and supply markets to identify new opportunities to save money, innovate, improve service and reduce risk
Conduct analysis of Procurement benefits claims for the broader team to validate financial outcomes
Undertake expediting of key orders and supply chain requirements
Support the team in contract administration and management activities such as preparing contract notices, variations and reviewing claims
Oversee supplier performance, gain feedback from internal users and business partners on supplier performance
Conduct quarterly/bi-annual/annual reviews
Oversee supplier performance, extract and report on key MetricsOur Ideal Candidate will have:Bachelor’s degree in business, legal, economics, finance or related discipline
Sourcing, contract administrator or procurement or other relevant analyst role
Knowledge of procurement fundamentals, sourcing and negotiations, contract implementation and management, excellent stakeholder management skills, excellent data analysis and Excel skills. Procurement professional certification is desirable (e.g. CIPS)Category specialist or equivalent role; oil and gas, turnaround and inspections for key projects (Desirable)Project Management skills, SAP ERP Skills (Desirable)If you feel you are a suitable candidate submit your application by hitting “Apply for this job”.
