ABOUT THE JOB:
- Team Management: Assist the Senior Director in building and managing an effective procurement team.
- Leadership: Provide leadership and expert advice on complex procurement projects, ensuring timely, budget-compliant, high-quality outcomes. Foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture.
- Procurement & Project Management: Apply procurement principles, legal interpretation, and project management to handle multiple projects and changing requirements. Forecast issues and implement practical solutions, escalating when necessary.
- Documentation: Produce and assure high-quality procurement documentation and reporting materials.
- Team Operations: Manage team operations, including HR, performance management, workforce development, and collaborative practices. Supervise and coach procurement officers to ensure high-quality outputs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Represent and communicate the Branch’s objectives and values, develop and deliver procurement and contract management presentations and training.
- Strategic Support: Achieve value for money outcomes and promote social, sustainable, digital, indigenous, and local participation in procurements.
