A leading Federal Government department is looking to engage skilled Procurement Directorto join a highly capable team. The successful Procurement Director will effectively apply procurement, contracting principles, and legal interpretation to facilitate workable solutions for procurement projects. The successfulProcurement Director will be offered a 6 - 12 month contract with extension options!

The successful Procurement Director will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Support the Senior Director to build and manage an effective team to deliver high quality, strategic, accurate, responsive advice and support for the procurement and supply of goods and services.
• Provide strong leadership and expert advice to clients on a range of complex procurement projects to deliver quality project outcomes on time and budget,
• Produce and assure high quality documentation across the procurement lifecycle and reporting information as required, such as briefing material, communication artefacts, and status updates.

The successful Procurement Director will have experience in the following:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications of interest include a Certificate IV in Government (Procurement & Contracting) or a Certificate VI Advanced Diploma of Government (Procurement & Contracting) is desirable.
• Highly developed communication skills including written and oral communication, presentation, influencing, negotiation, and representation skills.
• Understanding and developing documentation for and manage complex procurements.
• Strong knowledge of public service values covering ethical standards, and demonstrate self-awareness, initiative, drive, and professionalism.
