About Your Opportunity
Reporting to our Principal Procurement Excellence, you will play a leading role in implementing and maintaining a high level of governance and transparency over procurement and contract management processes, mitigating risks, and promoting best practices.
Key responsibilities:
- Developing, implementing, and managing procurement policies, procedures and support materials to enable compliance with Queensland Procurement Policy and other legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Developing and implementing the Commercial Services procurement and contract management training plan.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, to ensure that policies, procedures and support materials are fit for purpose and promote effective and efficient procurement and contract management.
- Conducting assurance activities over procurement and contract management activities to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement in procurement and contract management and implementing associated improvement initiatives.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Business, Commerce, Law or equivalent combination of education and experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role.
- Proven experience in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a best practice Procurement Governance framework
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in problem-solving; analysis of issues from different perspectives and a proven track record of proposing workable solutions to problems.
This position has a salary range of $113,473.64 - $123,457.70 p.a. plus 12.75% superannuation.
