Your New Role
Taking the lead of the entire group's spend, you will be the key driver of cultural change in purchasing, procurement systems - including current upgrade as project leader, lead a team of category managers + coordinators + admins, partner closely with all executives, heads of departments and finance team to drive best practice and optimise value.  Your new role is a strategic one, aligning and silos, identifying opportunities, ensuring compliance, and getting value for money across key portfolios, in particular ICT at present.  You will drive continuous improvement, support your team to achieve more than they ever thought possible, and ensure the procurement function has a wanted seat at the table by building strong relationships across the business - the right way.

Your Profile
Your career will demonstrate your ability and achievements in delivering systems upgrades or implementations that made a real impact.  You have demonstrable leadership skills, with examples of growing your teams skills and promoting continuous improvement.  You are a change agent, who can influence even the most reluctant or even technically unskilled managers to get with the program and use the new systems and processes properly!  You can demonstrate strategic sourcing is more than a key word and have multiple 7-figure savings initiatives achieved for your previous employers.  You also have raving fans and standout references from your previous employers and key stakeholders.  Your experience comes from large, complex environments, with spend of at minimum $100m per annum, likely, much more.  Specific training/study in related fields is a clear advantage, though your anticipated performance based on past success is key to winning this appointment.  Tenure & Longevity in your work history is important - you need to demonstrate you can be with an employer long enough to plan, execute and see the positive results of your efforts over a reasonable time frame.
