Due to our pipeline of work, we are in the market for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our Adelaide team. This will be a hybrid position, working on site and from home. This role is immediate and candidates looking for both permanent and contract work are encouraged to apply.
Job Description
- Formulate direction and advice, manage change, and lead and influence both internal and external stakeholders in procurement and contract management.;
- Establish best practice in procurement and/or contract management processes, policies and procedures within an organisation.;
- Support projects through contractual negotiations, risks and issues.
- Manage complex procurement in a Government environment including requirements definition and tender documentation;
- Undertake financial analysis and/or develop costing models related to the procurement activity;
- Achieve project outcomes by using highly developed communication, negotiation, persuasion and interpersonal skills to enable effective interaction with project stakeholders, staff and other contractors at all levels;
The ideal candidate will have:
- An existing/re-instatable Australian Defence security clearance ( essential )
- Experience working as a Commercial /Contract Manager or Commercial / Contract Officer or Procurement Specialist/ Procurement Officer.
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all organisational levels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Defence experience, or knowledge of Defence processes (highly desirable)
- Working knowledge of ASDEFCON and experience in the preparation of documentation to support project, gate approvals and procurement activities ( highly desirable )
