Our fleet of delivery vehicles services the majority of South Australia - Adelaide Metro and regional and rural areas, delivering high quality washroom, cleaning and packaging supplies to our customers in the health care, aged care, education, facility management, food service and hospitality sectors.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills and procurement experience to join our team at our Direk distribution centre as a full-time Procurement Manager. Travel between the Direk and Hahndorf sites will be a requirement.
Our ideal person will have an excellent understanding of supply chain management principles. They will be energetic, solution-focussed, and have high level analytical and MS excel skills.
The role of managing the company's procurement activities includes developing and maintaining relationships with supply partners; leading a small team and implementing efficiency improvements; inventory analysis and making recommendations to benefit the company's positive financial position.
Essential criteria are as follows:
- Practical experience in a Procurement leadership role
- Demonstrated experience with purchasing in a wholesale environment
- Demonstrated experience sourcing products from national and international supply chains
- Demonstrated experience identifying and negotiating with new suppliers
- Proven leadership skills, leading a small team
- Sound commercial judgement, with the ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and make recommendations to add value to the business
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills
- High level experience with an ERP system (e.g. MYOB Advanced) and Microsoft Excel
