About the opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transformational Procurement Manager with a solid background in leading high-performing teams. Reporting directly to the Operations & Supply Chain Manager, this is a pivotal role that will help shape the procurement strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage purchase order life cycle in terms of safety, quality, delivery and price.
- Manage and onboarding of strategic vendors
- Manage purchase order dates and the accuracy of inventory to enable the finance team to plan accordingly
- Ensure appropriate reporting tools are in place to identify exceptions to required business outcomes
- Ensure appropriate mitigation measures are in place to manage exceptions, with stakeholders
- Ensure all purchasing activities are documented in controlled procedures and undergo timely review
- Manage contract negotiations, reviews and tender processes, ensuring timely extension or termination of contracts and/or confidentiality agreements, working with contract owners and suppliers
- Ensure changes to price terms and the like are reflected accurately in the contract details
- Ensure a robust data retention system for contract documentation and management
- Manage cost benchmarking programs to ensure optimal results in terms of safety, quality, delivery and price
- Manage single sourcing risk, ensuring there is appropriate alternate and secondary sourcing to protect the business from supply chain interruption
- Initiate alternate sourcing where supply constraints are identified to improve deliveries to customers (production, service, or aftermarket)
About the ideal candidate:
You will have in-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices, coupled with first-class communication and analytical skills that will ensure continued success both with internal and external stakeholders. As an innovative leader, you will identify and integrate best-in-class standardised procurement practices, optimising processes and driving efficiency across the supply chain.

- Proven leader: History of leading highly successful teams
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to envision and execute long-term procurement strategies.
- Skilled Negotiator: Adept at onboarding new vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance and best practices
- Change Agent: Proven track record of driving process improvements and organisational change.
- Collaborator: Skilled at building relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Analytical: Proven ability to develop performance metrics/reporting frameworks and performance systems
- Master Data: Experience in ensuring data and processes are robust and up to date and procurement activities are carried out on time.
- Customer Centric: Adept at providing a first-class service to colleagues and customers.
- Education: Tertiary educated
- Systems Savvy. Advanced level of MS Office
