About us:
Santrev is Australia's leading builder of specialist chicken sheds with projects across Australia building for iconic brands. Santrev is seeking a Purchasing Manager to join our team, based in our Bundamba Head Office.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the ideal candidate must possess similar experience in a Procurement Management role and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Key tasks include:
- Negotiate with suppliers over price and resolve issues relating to capacity, supply, quality & service
- Evaluate cost and quality of materials, equipment, products, or services (compare both in the domestic and international markets)
- Assist in freight handling including sourcing quotes, selection, and implementation.
- Deal with non-supplied, under orders, over orders and damaged goods
- Undertake business needs assessment, supply market analysis and commercial risk assessments to inform procurement planning and sourcing decisions.
- Develop, review and control purchasing processes and policies to ensure best quality, service and price whilst adhering to applicable legal standards and codes of ethical conduct
- Establish key supplier agreements and identify new opportunities
- Provide procurement training, recommendations, and support to staff to ensure compliance within the procurement team.
- Comply with and maintain knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, standards and best practices
- Collaboration and briefing project management staff on delivery timelines
- Inventory and Asset Management
All about you:
- Have highly proficient communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, including strong business acumen and sound experience in managing supplier relationships
- Possess strong literacy and experience with Microsoft Office software and purchasing software programs
- Display a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Have a passion for continual improvement and be a team player who is well versed in operating in a fast-paced project environment
This role is offered on a full time basis, with working hours of 7.30am to 4pm, Monday to Thursday, and 7.30am to 1pm on Fridays.
