As part of the Procurement team, you will play a key role in providing purchasing, tendering, contract and fleet administration support for the organisation, while ensuring compliance with relevant policies and processes. About this RoleAs the Procurement Officer, you will provide advice and support in all aspects of procurement and fleet management and ensure Council’s procurement activities are compliant to relevant policies, frameworks, procedures, guidelines, and legislation.
You will also ensure that all requested reports are supplied on time for Council meetings and ensure that all Council decisions are executed promptly. About YouFor this position we are seeking someone who has high level attention to detail and computer skills, proven interpersonal skills to work within a close team-based environment and experience in liaising, influencing, and coordinating with a wide range of internal customers and external stakeholders. You will have:Relevant post-secondary qualification, with little or no experience or lesser formal qualifications with work skills and relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience in administration. Experience with a variety of computer applications
Experience in procurement activity processes, fleet management, contract administration and management, the evaluation of tenders and the preparation of specifications is desirable. All successful applicants are required to apply for and satisfactorily obtain a National Police Check and hold a valid employee Working with Children Check.
