Procurement Officer

Full Time

The Team: 

The Procurement Services Department is responsible for providing specialist procurement services and facilitating the negotiation, preparation and management of all contracts relating to the procurement of services including:

  • All contracts, agreements and tenders relating to the procurement of goods and services to all programmes and services within MBPH
  • Reducing present supply costs and limiting future increases across MBPH
  • Compliance with Health Share Victoria Purchasing Policies.

The Role: 

The Procurement Officer provides technical and professional specialist support in the preparation of contracts, agreements and tenders relating to the procurement of goods and services to programmes and services within MBPH.

Renumeration is in line with the Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement, starting at (HS3) Administration Officer Grade 3 - Level 1 – $74,448.40 per annum.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated proficiency providing technical and professional specialist support in the preparation of contracts, agreements and tenders gained at a mid-level working with Victorian Government procurement legislation and procedures.
  • Knowledge of government policy and statutory requirements relating to procurement activities in health including sound appreciation of the key concepts of public sector tender principles and probity requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiation of contracts and agreements.
  • Qualifications in business management, procurement, or supply chain related area are highly desirable.
