The Company
Our client is an independent, family-owned company based in Broadmeadows, with offices and distribution centres nationwide. They are currently looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to join their team.
Position Purpose
To assist and support in the day to day operations of the Procurement department.
To expedite purchase orders in a timely manner so as to minimise the effect of back orders on customers.
Responsibilities
- Run daily the NETSOCK report for new purchase orders
- Action all back orders for both Standard and Special Items with the exception of local supplier and imported suppliers
- Investigate outstanding deliveries and amend ETAs
- Review the "Standards" daily back order report for any anomalies and action where necessary
Systems & Suppliers
- Resolve invoicing payments and verify accuracy of pricing
- Assist with the goods returned process to suppliers
- Follow up on Purchase orders placed with suppliers and confirm delivery dates
- Assist in systems maintenance with suppliers
- Action low stock reports
- Action outstanding reports on a weekly basis and for month end accounting
- Analyse stock reports and action replenishments based on nominated stock level
Experience required
- Stock ordering knowledge and experience
- Detail oriented
- Strong people skills
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Strong EXCEL capability
