Full-time - Ongoing

Position Number: 10005       Location: Queanbeyan

The Package: $89,513.00 - $98,913.00 gross per week + 11% super. (Evaluated as Grade 14 of the QPRC Salary System 2023) and guaranteed increases of 3.5% in 2024-25 and 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.

Full-time – 35 hours per week. Flex time conditions may apply.                                         

Are you experienced in project management and have strong analytical skills? Council is looking for a committed professional to join our Finance team as a Procurement officer. 

In this role you will:

• Manage Councils’ procurement policies, systems, and processes.
• Provide procurement advice and guidance to staff.
• Analyse organisational procurement data and prepare periodic procurement plans.
• Identify opportunities for efficiencies and savings.
• Assist in high value and high risk procurements, tenders and evaluations.

We are looking for someone who: 

• Possesses relevant business, finance, or procurement qualifications and /or experience in a similar role.
• Has experience in the establishment and maintenance of procurement frameworks.
• Demonstrates the ability to think analytically.
• Demonstrates the ability to analyse costs and benefits.
• Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate and negotiate.
