About the Role
In this position you be responsible for ensuring the companies purchasing duties are carried out efficiently, on schedule and with the aim of achieving maximum financial benefit. You will also play an important role in the nurturing and retention of positive supplier relationships. In addition, you will also be be responsible for:
- The procurement process from purchase to delivery
- Inventory requirement forecasting
- Preparing & maintaining shipping documents & records of good received or dispatched
- Co-ordination & monitoring of shipping, freight and delivery of goods
- Communicating with suppliers
- Maintaining supplier & product master data
- Application of quality, safety, and environmental principles in your day-to-day work activities
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in procurement/purchasing role
- Strong time management skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel & MS Office
- Solid attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
- Well organised, efficient and reliable
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills
