At ING, the Mortgages Tribe is responsible for driving the end-to-end performance of the mortgages business through development of a clear strategy and working collaboratively with all areas of the business to drive cross functional execution of this strategy.
We are looking for an experienced Product Area Lead - ESG and Sustainability, to join the Mortgage Tribe leadership team within the Retail Bank. This role will be accountable for the development, execution and management of our end-to-end ESG and Sustainability strategy for Mortgages encompassing pricing, origination, product strategy, in-life management and all risk outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive sustainability and ESG strategies aligned with the banks objectives, ensuring long term environmental, social and governance sustainability
- Drive initiatives to minimise the Mortgage business’ environmental footprint by aiming to create more energy efficient home and lowering the housing footprint of society
- Be accountable for education and content engagement for customers associated with reducing their environmental footprint
- Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including community groups, regulators and other companies to manage and communicate the bank’s sustainability efforts
- Ensure high data quality on all relevant variables driving integration between risk management and business strategy
- Solid experience in articulating strategy and setting strategic direction with others
- Proven product management and P&L Experience (7+ years)
- Highly numerate and experienced in managing complex trade-offs to support often competing growth, revenue and return objectives
- Proven experience managing and influencing an array of stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with a view to use data to drive decision making
- Demonstrated experience leading and influencing changes to products and customer journeys that have improved portfolio growth
- People leadership experience – ability to build strong and engaged teams
