Product Developer

About the Role

Based in our Brisbane Head Office, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Developerto oversee all stages of product development, ensuring successful garment production, whilst adhering to Lorna Jane's critical path. The ideal candidate will share our passion for Active Living and empowering women to live a life that they love.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing the fitting process in collaboration with Designers, assessing fabric, fit and quality, and making necessary changes and improvements.
• Communicating all required changes back to the manufacturer and suppliers accurately and in detail, continuing this process over multiple samples until garment is ready for production.
• Conducting wash and wear testing to ensure products are fit for purpose, in line with Lorna Jane quality standards.
• Sending tech packs to manufacturer and translating design concepts to ensure samples and bulk products are made correctly as per Designer specifications.
• Assist designers in the development of new fabrics, trims and prints in conjunction with the supplier and in line with critical path. 
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers to enable seamless communication and efficient processes, and updating all internal and shared documents as needed.
• Ensuring quality control by inspecting final shipping samples for quality, fit and to required Lorna Jane standards. 

What are we looking for?

• Strong understanding of fabric qualities, functions and limitations
• Ability to understand garment construction and fabrics that align 
• Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design or relevant field
• High level of technical skills and experience using Illustrator and Photoshop
