About the RoleReporting to the Head of Product Marketing – Audio, this role is responsible for spearheading the development and implementation of the marketing strategy for the assigned product portfolio. This portfolio includes: analogue and digital mixers, studio monitor speakers, powered and passive loudspeakers, power amplifiers, interfaces and a suite of Steinberg software.
The aim of the role is to drive sales and profitability growth by creating market demand and driving adoption of products in existing and new market segments. The role is highly collaborative, acting as a central hub for information sharing, strategy and planning between the Marketing Communications, Product Marketing, Sales and Business Planning teams. This role will also be an essential support resource and expert advisor to Yamaha's distributors and dealers, as well as end users and other partners.
This is a full-time position based in our architecturally designed South Melbourne offices. We have a hybrid work model in place, working Mondays and Fridays from home, and Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from the office.
Key duties and responsibilities of the role:- Conduct comprehensive market analysis to develop a pricing strategy to maximise sales, profit and competitive positioning
- Collaborate with our Sales and Marketing Communications teams to create distribution and promotional strategies
- Maintain an accurate PSI (Production, Sales & Inventory) plan for each product, accurately forecasting sales, profitability and inventory levels
- Maintain stock control and monitor inventory within the limits as set and directed by the Business Planning team
- Write monthly reports for local and Yamaha Corporation Japan (YCJ) management
- Deliver dealer training to our retail partners across the country, as well as internal staff as required
- Be the authority on all products within the portfolio
- A hands-on approach that takes complete ownership of the role
- In-depth product knowledge
- Ability to use and demonstrate related products
- Enjoy working in a team to deliver marketing objectives, while also operating independently
- Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint and strong on all MS Office applications
- An understanding of digital marketing channels
- Strong knowledge of the Musical Instruments / Professional Audio market
