Our Strategic Product Management team is expanding and we are looking to bring onboard an experienced Product Manager who will become a product expert and evangelist. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer you will be responsible for identifying and capturing business requirements and translating them into technical requirements for the development team whilst also supporting Sales, Marketing and Client Success Management in championing the product with our clients, prospects and across the industry.
With experience in financial crime compliance especially AML screening, transaction monitoring, KYC and client risk assessment domain, you will work with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out products that deliver the company’s vision and strategy. Can you understand regulatory trends and industry needs to combat financial crime compliance and translate those into technical requirements? Do you know the latest technological trends and how these can be applied to combat financial crime?
Is your previous experience gained in working with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out products that deliver the company’s vision and strategy? Do you already work closely with key customers, architects and designers, marketing, sales, and support to develop and manage new product releases and features from concept to deployment?
What you'll be doing:
Understand the market (particularly for Australia) – Research competitor solutions, talk to customers, identify market trends, what regulation is now and what it is likely to be in the future
Understand AML regulations & sectors – experience and understanding of least one of the following sectors and how AML regulations apply to them and the key use cases for AML/ FCC software is key – payment service providers, gaming/gambling, banking (traditional and old), asset/ wealth management
Design innovative product – This is a creative role. From light-bulb moments to agreeing wording on web pages, you need to help bring those ‘wow’ moments and ensure it all feels like an integrated, consistent product suite.
Communicate with the development team – Work directly with developers, designers and architects to handover your ideas and designs and then work with them through the development to clarify and guide.
Use the product – Become a product expert. Perform acceptance on features back from the development team and keep standards high.
Enable the delivery team – Through videos, documentation and training sessions, educate and inform the professional services team so they know how to best use the product in customer environments
Support the Sales team – Provide product and technical knowledge to the sales team, as required, both behind the scenes and in customer meetings.
Do you have what it takes?
Product management experience for an enterprise software or network management company ideally within AML/ FCC domain
Experience of AML regulations and use cases for AML software in different sectors e.g. payment service providers, gaming/gambling, banking (traditional and old), asset/ wealth management (at least one of these sectors)
Strong problem-solving skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. This is a hands-on, sleeves-rolled-up role.
Ability to effectively communicate with customers, run workshops and requirement gathering exercises
Experience with cross-functional teams that include engineering, sales, and marketing staff
Ability to effectively interact and communicate with executive management and understand customers regulations and use cases for their sectors and businesses
