The role:
As the Product Owner Gen AI , you will partner with Business Units (BUs) to identify and prioritise GenAI use cases that deliver genuine value for experimentation and broader pilot/scaled rollout. This role will lead 1-2 squads of multi-disciplinary colleagues who are passionate about GenAI and have an inquisitive mindset and ensure the squads are across the product vision, roadmap, goals, plans and expectations along with help the squads to define and plan work, to achieve the prioritised use cases / business outcomes.
As the Product Owner, you along with the squads will comply with processes regarding quality controls, communicating progress, and stakeholder management whilst being a liaison between the business and technology to coordinate delivery of these initiatives. You will represent the "voice of the customer / colleagues" to ensure the GenAI outcomes are fit for purpose and achieve the target outcomes.
The day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Share the vision continuously to ensure squad alignment and be the customer and colleague advocate when making trade off decisions
Lead on progressive elaboration (as appropriate) for experiments, pilots and broader rollout
Proactively identify and escalate impediments, creating a culture of transparency
Prioritise delivery that is weighted to the shortest job first and maximising return on investment and strategic alignment
Lead, coach and develop colleagues within your squads to ensure strong commercial decision making and build high performing teams
Provide targeted communication to all stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of dependencies, deliverables, and issues as well as to measure and manage stakeholder expectations
What you will bring:
Demonstrated experience working in a similar Product Owner role within preferably AI domain coupled with experience in Financial Services.
Experience in product, risk, technical or commercial disciplines preferably in Banking
Proven experience working within scaled agile delivery
Demonstrated experience with software and product development lifecycle
Project management & change execution knowledge and expertise
Proven ability to create and convey a vision to key stakeholders and teams and innovate, adapt and grasp new skills and capabilities
Proven analytical skills and evidence-based decision making
Inquisitive, test & learn mindset
Able to collaborate with others to deliver long-term strategy and technology roadmaps
Critical thinker - ability to see the bigger objective and design executable solutions to achieve the objective
Proven ability to communicate with influence and build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
Tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline preferred
