About the Role:
You will manage the development of products for the development of a new VET Student Loans IT system, and will be responsible for the day-to-day operations that drive the implementation of its product roadmaps ensuring it meets user requirements.
This dynamic position operates within the Senior Responsible Officer Model, working closely with the Product Manager and a dedicated Project Manager, Project Management Office, Change Management Office and Technology teams (data delivery teams, data architects, data stewards, data engineers and BI developers etc.), as well as business owners to develop this project, in line with business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake a data-driven needs assessment, which will involve analysing market and/or user research, feedback, expert opinion and usage of data to understand needs and opportunities.
- Collaboration with data experts, including working closely with a delivery team of Data Architects, Data Engineers, BI developers, and Analysts to design and produce products in order to deliver sprint outcomes.
- Develop a deep understanding of current and future needs of our stakeholders.
- Work in close collaboration with the Product Manager to execute on our long-term roadmap.
- Refine the product's vision, objectives, and features in collaboration with stakeholders and users.
- Diligently and proficiently capture and summarise stakeholder needs and goals in clear and concise themes, epics, and user stories.
Key Skills/ Experiences:
- 3+ years' experience as a Product Owner using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and/or Scrum.
- Experience with effective planning and the ability to contribute to tactical and strategic planning in support of a business plan.
- Demonstrated experience in working effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience using user-story and task management tool (such as MS DevOps or others).
- Experience as a Product Owner or similar role managing the requirements for a team of Data Engineers and BI developers delivering actionable insights via Data products.
- Baseline Clearance Required
