The Role
The APS 5 Maintenance Systems Officer (Planning & Assurance) role, is critical in overseeing and managing the compliance and assurance activities associated with current Land capabilities, and coordinating with project teams the introduction into service of new Land capability (including ongoing sustainment). This includes a multitude of logistics support activities that complement the capability life cycle, including planned and unplanned maintenance, disposal, inventory management, storage and distribution.
The APS5 MSO is part of a small team providing high-level advice at strategic project meetings to raise awareness of previous and ongoing issues for consideration with sustainment transition of new capabilities and ongoing modification programs for Defence platforms. The APS 4 Maintenance Systems Officer (Planning & Assurance) role supports the APS 5 MSO in contributing to the delivery of preventative and corrective maintenance to allocated materiel logistic platforms and systems by monitoring the compliance of the trade repair houses.
To achieve this you will need to undertake random site visits, verification of work order timings and costs against baselines, and maintenance quality control including monitoring customer feedback and undertaking customer relationship management.
