The Role
Schulke Australia Pty Ltd is welcoming applications for an experienced Product Specialist to cover a North Brisbane and Sunshine Coast Territory and regional travel to Townsville, Cairns and Mackay (FNQ).
Based in Brisbane, the primary responsibilities of this role include representing our highly recognised core brand MICROSHIELD®, alongside promoting new products on a growth trajectory, into the wound care and infection prevention area. Working with both hospital and distributor customers, this sales role reports to the National Sales Manager and is an integral member in a highly successful team.
Key responsibilities and activities:
- Promote and increase awareness of infection prevention best practice and products in the healthcare environment
- Build and maintain loyal customer relationships at all levels and contact points in healthcare
- Identify and develop new accounts through commercial opportunities and in some instances work with installation teams for conversion of business
- Maintain and grow existing business by generating increased return with current customers
- Exceed sales targets and other metrics
- Attend exhibitions and conferences
- Share market and competitor intelligence, contributing to company strategy
- Use and maintain sales tools like CRM and business intelligence systems, to prioritise territory activity
- Contribute to team success through sharing of experience, success and challenges on territory
Who you are
You are able to work autonomously, demonstrating high energy, self-motivation and a determination to succeed. With a proven track record of sales success, you will preferably have experience in either pharmaceutical or medical consumable sales and be known for your ethical customer centric approach. Previous experience in the infection prevention or wound care area is highly regarded, as is your focus to develop your technical knowledge in a commercial environment alongside your willingness to sell and negotiate commercial opportunities. You will be articulate with high attention to detail, commercially minded, strategic, a team player, highly organised, efficiently manage time and be focussed on goal achievement.
Further you must be:
- Degree qualified in Business/ Science/ Nursing
- Mobile and prepared to travel, with coverage of regional Queensland as required
- An excellent communicator with engaging presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel), with previous utilisation of sales CRM and business intelligence analysis tools
- Able to comply with company policies, including a mandatory Covid-19 vaccination policy, which includes providing proof of vaccination status
- Able to work in Australia
- Willing to undertake and provide evidence of an Australian Federal Police Check
