About the Role
About IPRO
BHP’s Integrated Production and Remote Operations (IPRO) are the coming together of a dedicated, innovative team focused on identifying, achieving and maintaining the highest standards in Production Accounting and Production Reporting for BHP WAIO. BHP’s IPRO Production Accounting and Production Reporting team is responsible for undertaking analysis and providing insights to drive accurate production data across WAIO. The team identifies and delivers value for our Operations through accurate supply chain production reporting and protects shareholder and JV value through precise Production Accounting and reconciliation.
As a Production Accounting and Reporting Analyst, you will be a key driver in improving BHP’s WAIO production data accuracy. The Production Accounting and Reporting Analyst will be working collaboratively alongside our team of Analysts and Specialists, Technology, Operations and business subject matter experts to level up BHP’s WAIO Production Accounting and production reporting.
In this role, you will:
- Provide reports by performing database and system analysis across the WAIO Supply Chain
- Conduct Production Accounting activities and maintain appropriate supporting documentation in alignment with statutory requirements
- Conduct and improve Production Accounting and Reporting processes
- Participate in regular BOS (BHP Operating System) routines and apply BOS practices in daily work.
About You
As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in IT, Finance or Engineering
- Experience developing visualisation and Reporting tools (SAP Business Objects and/or PowerBI)
- Experience programming in SQL to build descriptive analysis
- Experience in Production Accounting and advanced excel
- Strong analytical, technical aptitude, critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
- Be a collaborative team player that is results orientated, with a positive cultural impact
- Thrive in dynamic, fast paced environment with the ability to rapidly respond to support our stakeholders
- Good time management, prioritisation and urgency particularly with month-end activities
Other highly regarded experience includes:
- Asset Management experience in mining, manufacturing or similar heavy industry.
- A strong understanding of site plant and processes gained from exposure to site operations, projects, A&I, engineering or similar
- Excellent engagement, communication and high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to create win-win relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail
This is a Perth based role offering permanent opportunity working Monday to Friday. Flexible working options are available.
