This role will work directly with the founder of the business to lead new product development initiatives while also coordinating the production of existing product lines.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate directly with the founder of the business to conceptualize and develop new products that align with the company's vision and goals..
- Assist in sourcing ingredients and packaging materials for new products, leveraging supplier relationships to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products to meet customer demand.
- Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and minimize excess stock while overseeing quality control procedures to maintain product excellence.
- Work closely with the logistics team to coordinate the shipping and distribution of finished products.
- Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and growth in the snack industry.
- Develop strategic plans for launching new products, including branding, marketing, and distribution strategies.
- Provide regular updates and reports on the progress of new product development projects, highlighting key milestones and challenges.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to improve production processes continuously.
Requirements:
- Have a love for dogs
- Proven experience in production coordination or a similar role
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of product quality.
- Australian residency or valid work permit.
