Initially a part-time role approx. 20 hours per week - with the potential to grow into a full time position in the future however we are open to contractors also.
About the role:
As Production Coordinator, you will work alongside the Managing Director to assist and manage the sales, production and growth of the Direct to Source business.
To allow Managing Director and broader Sales Team to grow the business, this position will manage and administrate production & operations tasks. You will work as the main support to external stakeholders/contractors including but not limited to, Finance/Bookkeeper, IT and Graphic Designers.
This position will manage office operations and procedure, while also have ability to be a part of business growth, product research and creative development.
Responsibilities include;
- Attend hand-over from Sales/Product development teams & create Tech Packs
- Issue Tech Packs to overseas suppliers & prepare costings & sample schedule
- Set up and maintain sampling schedule and report to sales/product development teams
- Raise PO’s and issue to suppliers
- Create and update weekly production schedules & critical path.
- Review, monitor and manage end to end critical path/production schedule to ensure all orders are delivered on time in full
- Liaise with Suppliers & communicate any changes to the critical path to sales team
- Compliance - check sustainability credentials, social compliance and collect product information
- Follow up production samples i.e. PPS & PSS and issue comments in a timely manner.
- Maintain the OTB and production spreadsheets
- Checking of bulk stock against approved PPS for QC issues and resolve any issues with Suppliers and communicate with sales team members
- Liaise with Freight Forwarder on freight booking and ensure shipping docs are correct and submitted in timely manner FOB & FIS
- Processing & filing of Supplier invoices
- Processing & filing of customer invoices.
- Keep customer and supplier contact lists up to date.
- Keeping samples catalogued & office organised
- Other general administration tasks as required.
Candidate's Key Skills & Attributes:
- Experience in a similar role
- Eye for detail is essential
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
- Textiles and/or production background/interest is considered a bonus, however not necessary.
- The ability to develop, work to and report on financial performance, with the view of sharing with Managing Director
- Graphic design background/knowledge is considered advantageous.
- Attention to detail.
