We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Engineer to join our design and development team at Moss Production Pty Ltd located at Dandenong South. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the manufacturing process of component parts for our clients, ensuring excellence in design, efficiency in production, and adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the design and development team in crafting and supporting the production of customer-specific component parts.
- Engage in the CAD design of various components, including equipment, machine parts, and aids for manufacturing.
- Ensure the accuracy and compliance of drawings and specifications before the commencement of manufacturing or procurement processes.
- Conduct trials for parts, machinery, and equipment, and methodically document the outcomes.
- Perform tests and experiments, and execute measurements to refine products, processes, and equipment.
- Oversee and maintain comprehensive documentation of projects and processes.
- Liaise with tooling and production teams to introduce and assimilate new products and procedures.
- Analyse functional statements, organizational charts, and project data to optimize worker roles and responsibilities and reduce redundancy.
- Develop work measurement programs and analyse work samples to set standards for labour efficiency.
- Evaluate workforce utilization, facility layout, operational data, and production schedules to enhance worker and equipment efficiency.
- Design mechanical equipment, machines, and products for manufacturing, and develop systems for construction projects.
- Manage and coordinate project labour, and oversee the delivery of materials, equipment, and plant resources.
- Formulate standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection, and maintenance, adhering to engineering principles and safety regulations.
- Inspect plant facilities to ensure they are operating at peak performance.

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per annum plus superannuation, commensurate with experience.
