Production Line Supervisor

Role Overview:

We seek a dedicated and experienced Production Line Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will lead designated areas of the Production Line and ensure that assembly meets specifications, quality standards, and deadlines. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Skills/Attributes Required:

• Intermediate computer literacy, including Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills, including document writing ability.
• Sound time management skills with the ability to prioritise work.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to problem solve.
• Willingness to lead a team, mentor others, and uphold high integrity and discretion.
• Understanding Workplace Health and Safety practices, quality standards, and technical drawings.
• Knowledge and understanding of flow line principles, including implementing best practices.

Education/Experience Required:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in manufacturing or relevant fields.
• A trade qualification relating to the manufacturing industry is desirable but not essential.
• Forklift and First Aid or other relevant certificates/licenses are desirable but not essential.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead designated areas of the Production Line to ensure assembly meets specifications, quality expectations, and deadlines.
• Manage staff to uphold the company's vision, mission, values, policies, and procedures with integrity.
• Ensure weekly build targets are met while advocating for continuous improvement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct weekly toolbox meetings and communicate relevant tasks to bay leaders.
• Communicate company directives, policies, and procedures to bay leaders and their teams.
• Advocate for continuous improvement and efficiency within the Production Line.
• Manage production reports and escalate risks or concerns as necessary.
• Ensure safety standards are upheld and identify and mitigate risks.
• Manage stock levels, workforce labour requirements, and quality compliance.
• Plan and implement projects for continuous improvement.
• Assist with performance management and recruitment needs.
