They specialise in value adding to projects that utilise precast elements. Detailing, coordination, manufacture and erection is essential to ensure that cost-effective and efficient precast is always adopted. The company was established in 1982 and has a strong family feel to it, with employees working here for the past 30 years.
Your new role
In this role, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years managing a team or else 1 year experience supervising and 5 years working in a yard and your job will be to oversee the production prices, achieving state goals for profit, product quality and accuracy, overseeing equipment and system performance and downtime. As a Supervisor of a team of 16+ employees, it is essential to drive good culture and work practices. Within this position you will also take on the responsibility of ordering, documenting, controlling and coordinating the safe and timely transportation of goods and services. You will be required to work on site daily and mandated RDO's do not apply.
- Manage and lead by example on a daily basis, ensuring the most cost-effective labour hours with minimal or zero overtime.
- Coordinate all factory work and dates according to builders' programs and to ensure targets are met in collaboration with the production team leader.
- Ensure all operations satisfy WHS requirements.
- Ability to redevelop the factory.
- Build and maintain a high performing team, encouraging and developing team members' skills.
- Develop a clear understanding of steel fixing, boxing of panels and concreting, and all trades required in the production process.
- Maintain a high quality product and increase production.
What you'll need to succeed
- 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Understanding of precast factory.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office products.
- Excellent communication skills and organisational skills.
- The ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues effectively.
- Attention to detail.
