Woods Stock feeds Pty Ltd is looking for Fitters to join their team based in QLD.
Role Purpose:
To manage and continuously improve the production processes and employees of Woods Stockfeeds Emerald, and ensure the effective and efficient utilisation of Woods Group resources in the manufacture and distribution of feed to customer requirements, ensuring delivery in full, on time and within specification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all feed manufacturing activity
- Participate in the establishment of production strategies, goals and targets that optimise capacity and maximise throughput.
- Manage staff activities and monitor their performance
- To participate in the development and implementation of the Woods Group Training Plan.
- Monitor and maintain product quality and feed safety standards.
- Ensure that hygiene requirements are adhered to by all persons particularly hand washing and gowning requirements.
- Continuously monitor critical limits to ensure that these are achieved and maintained at all times.
- Maintain Woods Stockfeeds processing plant, equipment and infrastructure
- Maintain MEX system
- Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are completed in full and on time.
- Implement the Woods Group Quality Management Systems
- Identify and report critical information regarding quality, throughput, food safety, health and safety, hygiene, maintenance, calibration and procedure to assist in the decision-making and problem-solving process.
- Implement and participate in the continuous improvement of the Woods Group Health and Safety program.
- Create and maintain a culture within the processing area of Woods Stockfeeds that stimulates a positive attitude and enthusiastic atmosphere.
- Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience in operating equipment or machinery
- Demonstrated experience in record keeping.
- A minimum of twelve (12) months experience in a supervisory role.
- Demonstrated experience in supervision and training of operational staff.
- High-Risk Work Licence - LF - Forklift Truck
